The Doña Ana County Flood Commission and the South Central New Mexico Stormwater Management Coalition are hosting a public meeting to discuss a new Drought Resilience Effort (DRE) throughout the Rio Grande Valley in Southern New Mexico. The DRE plans to implement projects that will reduce damage from flooding and sedimentation, promote aquifer recharge, improve water management infrastructure, and create and/or sustain habitat.
The public is invited to provide input on the most important issues and collaborate to gather knowledge and ideas for strategies and projects. Join us on Thursday, February 20, 2025 in the Commission Chambers of the Doña Ana County Government Center, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
